The Community of Practice
What is a CoNP? A working group of neonatal education and practice specialists who advocate for improved quality of care for small and sick newborns and their families including sharing of educational structures, definitions, standards, models of care, and lessons learned with health providers and institutions across Africa.
Every neonatal health provider is well educated, competent and skilled in providing quality neonatal care and will advocate for all newborns especially the small and sick newborn and their families.

Community: Create a sustainable community of practice to advance evidence-based standardized education, lead and influence quality family centred neonatal care.

Organize: Cultivate a cadre of professional neonatal nurses to develop and strengthen leadership and mentorship skills to achieve and sustain optimal neonatal health outcomes.

Nurture: Accelerate change in the development of the specialization of neonatal nursing.
